The 10 year anniversary of the formation of the Capoeira Karkara group is upon us! In honor of this important milestone, we will be hosting 2 workshops and having a beach roda throughout the month of April. We can’t wait to experience these opportunities to celebrate with our amazing community who has played such an important part in the evolution and growth of our powerful group over the past decade!
The workshops will be live on Zoom and open to anyone (all levels/all groups worldwide!), with an option to participate in the academy where we will be projecting the live workshop on a screen.
April 10 at 1pm EST – Angola workshop with Mestre Lazaro – Mestre Lázaro of Capoeira Angola Guerreiros de Palmares teaches traditional Capoeira Angola in Salvador, Bahia. All levels/all groups can participate.
April 17 at 1pm EST – Capoeira workshop with Mestre Amen Santo – Mestre Amen teaches in Los Angeles and is the founder of Capoeira Batuque and Brasil Brasil Cultural. He starred in and created choreography for the movies Only the Strong and Kickboxer IV. Open to all levels/all groups
April 24 at 3pm (kids) and 4pm (adults/teens) – Open Roda at Lake Worth Beach near the pier & Benny’s on the Beach. * PLEASE WEAR YOUR MASK
